Dr Pramil Kaniyarakkal did his under graduation from the prestigious Govt medical college, Kozhikode during the time period 2000 to 2006. Following this he completed his CRS from Balussery CHC, Kozhikode. He procured the MS General Surgery degree in 2010 from Govt Medical College Kottayam and subsequently worked there for few months in the post of Senior Resident in the General Surgery Dept during when he fine tuned his surgical skills. In the year 2011 Dr Pramil joined the esteemed brigade of GI/HPB Surgeons at the PVS INSTITUTE OF GASTROINTESTINAL SURGERY, where he gained extensive firsthand experience in performing high end and complex gastrointestinal and hepatopancreaticobiliary surgical procedures under the mentorship of Dr Prakash.k. He also successfully completed DNB in GI/HPB Surgery and Fellowships in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS & FIAGES) during that time period.
He has undergone special training in laparoscopic hernia, bariatric, esophageal and colorectal surgery. Dr Pramil is the life member of organizations like IMA, ASI, NAMS, IHPBA, AMASI & IAGES. This skillful laparoscopic surgeon is an enthusiastic academician too, and keeps upto date with the latest and exciting developments in his field of expertise. He has many publications to his credit and has presented various papers and interesting surgical videos at various conferences across the nation. He believes that a good doctor understands the responsibility better than privilege and practice accountability better than business.
